Spring Garden Volunteer Workdays

Do you like to work outdoors?

KDB Garden WorkdayWould you like to learn more about gardening?  Do you have a group looking for volunteer opportunities?  KDB is hosting Volunteer Garden Workdays to spruce up our various native gardens in town.  You don't need to have your own tools or any gardening experience to participate (although we certainly welcome both).

Our Gardens

Project Post Oak is a half-acre grove of post oak trees in the midst of the hustle and bustle of South Loop 288.  KDB has installed a native plant garden in the grove to restore the Post Oak's native habitat and help these 200+ year old trees survive and propagate (a.k.a. make baby trees!)

Denia Garden is a sun-loving wildflower meadow in the midst of Denia Park and Recreation Center.  The meadow is flanked on either side by a landscaping bed with a variety of sun-loving native plants and shrubs.

KDB Garden is our office landscape.  We removed the bermuda grass and replaced the turf with shade-loving native plants and grasses.

Additional Summer and Fall workdays will be posted soon.
