Stream Clean 2010 — Fall Waterway Cleanup Event

Time: 8 a.m. to Noon
Place: Civic Center
Registration: Pre-register online through Sept. 10, or register on-site at the Civic Center Pavilion beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25.
For Volunteers: Free lunch and T-shirts* (T-shirts available to first 750 pre-registered volunteers only.)
Waiver Forms: A signed waiver must be completed for each participant. Please bring this waiver when you are picking up your supplies (either prior to the event or event day).

Stream Clean is a volunteer cleanup event targeting specific waterways in and around Denton. Cleaning up our waterways is important not only because it helps Denton look better, but because it impacts our quality of life. The event is presented by Denton Water Utilities in partnership with Keep Denton Beautiful.

To participate in Stream Clean you must register as a volunteer. Pre-registration is available online through Sept. 10. You can still register on the day of the event, Saturday, Sept. 25, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Civic Center.

You can check in at the Civic Center (Stream Clean Headquarters) on event day if you need supplies. T-shirts will be available only to the first 750 pre-registered volunteers. If you have already picked up your supplies (and T-shirts if applicable) you can check in at your assigned site that morning. We suggest bringing rakes and gloves that will not easily rip or tear. Bags for trash and recyclables will be provided.

After the cleanup, join us for free lunch and drinks. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. at the Civic Center Pavilion.
