KDB Honors Volunteers

KDB Volunteer Appreciation ReceptionOn Tuesday, November 13th, Keep Denton Beautiful (KDB) honored its many volunteers, membership and supporters at the annual KDB Appreciation Reception.  Hosted at the beautiful Wildwood Inn in Denton, the Reception featured delectable hors d’oeuvres and drinks, followed by a brief awards presentation.  

KDB Volunteer Reception Welcome SignPapa John’s Pizza, Denton Southridge Neighborhood Association, the Wildwood Inn, and the Tetrapak Corporation were among the organizations recognized for their work with KDB.  

Longtime volunteer Vicki McCombs received the Lifetime Distinction Award for her many years of service with KDB, and a handful of KDB Committee and Board members were also awarded for their outstanding efforts throughout the year. 

In all, over 100 KDB supporters were in attendance.  Among the many guests were City of Denton Mayor Perry McNeill and his wife, June McNeill; City Council members Jack Thomson, Joe Mulroy, and Chris Watts; Parks and Recreation Department Director Emerson Vorel; and City Manager George Campbell.
